Starting small, we applied the same traits that built the business to the way we recruited. It was an approach that struck a chord with retail clients who loved the fact that we listened more than we talked. That we worked with a sense of urgency. And that we always, always, always did what we said we would.
So, we didn’t stay small for long. Today, Zachary Daniels has a growing team and a big reputation, but the qualities that brought us this far (flexibility, agility and a personal, always-go-the-extra-mile-ness) are still just as important to us and our clients.

When retail changed, the world of retail recruitment changed with it. Yet thanks to a monumental effort from ‘Team ZD’, Zachary Daniels has more than weathered a stormy two years, going from strength to strength and attracting market-leading clients. Co-founders Danny Monfea and Zac Clements wanted to find a way of ensuring everyone could benefit from the success. So they placed the company into an Employee Owned Trust (EOT), giving the team a majority stake in the business. Like the John Lewis model, continued success will see profits shared across the team.

We Plant Trees
We take a lot of pride in matching our candidates with their dream job role and checking in as their careers bloom — a bit like when you plant a seed and watch it grow into something magnificent.
Through Ecologi we plant a tree for every candidate we place, helping to offset our carbon footprint. The trees we’re funding right now are a fair few years away from doing their thing, but our Ecologi subscription is used for two purposes: to offset our carbon footprint through verified carbon reduction projects around the world and, separately, to plant trees.
