I’m a business administrator at ZD. Day-to-day, I find great candidates for our senior recruiters.

In some ways, it’s a role I’ve created. I wanted to make more of the resources we have available, so I use our whole system to find and register new candidates and present them to our recruiters. Every candidate I flag is tracked, so we can measure the success of what I do and it’s really paying off. Feedback from the recruiters has been great, and we’re seeing our consultants starting to use it too.

It just means that when we have a job to recruit for, we’ve already got prime candidates researched, registered and ready to present.

I’m taking a career break soon to go travelling, but once I’m back I’ll be looking to train up as a recruiter with ZD. It’s a brilliant culture here. Everyone’s just so tight, and we’re constantly out doing things together.

I came here from hospitality which is a totally different world. At ZD, everyone wants to be here. Everyone motivates themselves and everyone wants to do well.

Outside of work, I play rugby. I’ve played since I was four. Just before Covid I made my debut for England, played for a couple of professional clubs and was due to go on tour with the national team, but as the pandemic struck and there’s not much money in the sport, I got released.

I’m still playing at National Conference League level for Crosfields. It’s only a couple of divisions below semi-pro and I’m only 20 so maybe my chance will come again, but really I’m more focused on life outside rugby now – like my career break travelling Thailand, Bali and Australia!
