Tegan Fadil started off with us a year ago, taking a gap year to learn as much as she could about the world of working before starting university. Fast forward one year later >> & Tegans not leaving! It’s safe to say on behalf of all the ZD family we are over the moon to be keeping you!

We asked Tegan why she sees a future at ZD!?

‘My first year has been amazing to say the least! I feel so supported and valued and everyone has given me great help and advice to kick start my recruitment career.

I have never looked back and my future at ZD feels so big and bright.

I know there are so many more things for me to learn and plenty of opportunities for me to grow. I know everyone will help me achieve my dreams one way or another.

It really does feel like a family and I am so grateful for the opportunity given to me. I can’t wait to see what the future holds.’ ✨

We asked Sophie to reflect on her time at ZD…

‘Making that move from retail management to recruitment was a big leap after 10 years of shop floor retail, but it really was the best move I have ever made. I’ve grown so much personally and within my career. I can genuinely say I love my job!

I’m so lucky I get to work with a team who are down to earth, supportive and overall just fab! I’m a real people person and thrive when I get to build relationships with anyone, so building client, candidate and team relationships really does mean a lot to me.

You hear it so much but being part of ZD is being part of a family, my work family. I feel recognised and supported which is the most important thing and I wish to be apart of it for many years to come’

In honour of #WorldMentalHealthDay, we wanted to share how we're committed to supporting the mental health of our team every day.

👩🏽‍⚕️The ZD fam benefits from free healthcare through Vitality, which includes access to therapy and support.

🥊 Need to blow off some steam? We provide Boxing & Pilates classes multiple times a week for our team to help everyone stay active and de-stress.

🙇🏼‍♀️We believe in open conversations. We're one big family & there is always someone you can talk to at ZD.

💆🏻‍♂️We understand that life can be hectic, which is why we offer a flexible working environment.

🌸 Random acts of kindness… We sporadically send gifts to the team for absolutely no reason, other than the fact that we appreciate them ALOT.

We are sharing what we do to support Mental Health in the workplace, to encourage others to do the same. We will continue to endeavour to create an even more positive and supportive work environment at ZD.

🏅✨ A huge shoutout to our very own @frazerjansell for completing a 45 mile bike ride yesterday, from Buckingham Palace to Windsor Castle, as part of the Palace to Palace event in support of The Prince's Trust. What an achievement for such a worthy cause 👏

Almost half of young people in the UK (49%) feel anxious about their future on a daily basis, with 59% agreeing it feels frightening for their generation. Findings suggest the impact of the pandemic and now a cost-of-living crisis is taking its toll on young people, as 45% agree anxiety around recent political and economic events affects them daily.

More than a third (35%) feel their life is spiralling out of control, and for those from lower income backgrounds, this increases to 41%.

We are sure these statistics resonate in some way with many of you on here.

Some very special work anniversaries at ZD this month. 8 YEARS for Dawn, 7 YEARS for Marc & 7 YEARS for Bex. WOW that’s long!  We couldn’t ask for 3 more lovely & legendary people to of been on board the ZD ride for this long. We all describe ZD as a huge family, and we wouldn’t be the family we are without you.   We asked Dawn, Marc & Bex whats kept them here playing such a huge part in ZD all these years?  Dawn ‘I would say it’s because everyone in the team has the same ethos. Everyone wants the business to thrive and with that everyone constantly wants to better themselves and everyone they work with. ZD is great at offering the support and tools to do that. Everyone champions others successes and we celebrate big and little wins collectively.’  Bex ‘The most amazing colleagues and supportive team around me! The opportunity to really make a difference, grow within your career, continue to learn something new each and every day and have the most fun!!!!’  Marc (who it is hard to get as serious answer off, ever!) - ‘Because Ryan pays me’… Well, at least when we say we’re an honest bunch you know we mean it.

This International Day of Charity, we’d like to

This International Day of Charity, we’d like to show support to members of the ZD family who are currently raising money for some incredible charities.

Our wonderful Stacey is currently raising money for @stepscharityworldwide , a charity very close to Staceys heart. Steps is the leading charity for all those whose lives are affected by childhood lower limb conditions.

Cass 💫 “When we found out Cass has talipes at our 20 week scan I felt really anxious, I didn’t know much about talipes at that point & was worried about what the future held. The Consultant gave me a leaflet about Steps Charity after the scan & by that afternoon I had spoke to somebody on the phone & had joined the parents group on Facebook where I managed to speak to many families who like us, had found out at the 20 week scan. I instantly felt much calmer & managed to enjoy the rest of my pregnancy - this wouldn’t have been possible without the help of Steps Charity. Our little man Cass was born with a “complex” case & actually spent 12 weeks in cast before his tenotomy. He is now 18 months, in PT Boots and Bar and running around everywhere! We know we are still very much at the early part of this journey but, with the help of Steps, and the community we now feel part of, we know we are prepared! I am running the Great North Run to say thank you to Steps and in the hope to give something back. This is for our little superman.. we love you!”
