As business support at Zachary Daniels, I help our consultants with their job postings and candidate searching, as well as handling inbound queries.

I also keep our database updated, making sure our candidate data is current and correct. And I’ll be the first one to deal with any new CVs that come through to us.

I enjoy helping people, especially people who approach us but perhaps haven’t worked with a recruiter before and don’t know how to apply for a job through us. They might be curious about a job they’ve seen or want a bit of help with their CV. So I’ll introduce them to us and then direct them to the consultant who can best help them. It’s a good feeling to get to the end of the day knowing you’ve helped someone.

When I finished college I knew I didn’t want to go to university, but I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do. [ZD co-founder] Zac is a friend of the family (actually, I think Zac knows everyone in Warrington) so I asked him for some career advice and he said, “Well, what about getting some experience here?”

I came in for a trial day and I’m still here! I think it helps that I’m quite organised, responsive and on the ball. If something’s on my to-do list, it gets done.

I absolutely love the people I work with at ZD. Everyone will always look out for you. If you’re struggling with something there’s always someone to turn to. They’re people you actually want to spend time with. They’re family.

When I’m away from work I absolutely love the gym. I’m really into weightlifting and I’m in training for HYROX, the worldwide competition that combines functional exercises with running.
