I’m part of ZD Finance having recently moved over to support the team and set up a new transactional desk within the growing division.

I’m typically working with candidates with up to three years’ experience in a consumer finance-related role who are looking to take their next career step. I’m also working with graduates and other new entrants who want to get on the Finance career ladder.

Prior to Finance, I provided RPO (recruitment process outsourcing) services to our clients, either because they had a gap in their in-house teams or because they’d been overwhelmed with applications or by the volume of jobs they needed to recruit.

I effectively became part of their teams, drafting job adverts, sifting applications, supporting their interview processes and onboarding, all while working closely with their HR or IT functions to ensure candidates settled into their new roles.

Lots of the skills that I brought to my RPO work are equally valuable at ZD Finance: the ability to build relationships with clients, to understand what they and candidates are going through. To know the industry trends and use that knowledge to get ahead of the curve so clients are able not just to recruit but retain staff.

I love that my role has completely evolved since I joined Zachary Daniels. I started out in a business support role, but Zac and Danny [ZD founders] have given me free reign to build my career in a way that adds greatest value to the business. My job has grown organically as the needs of the business have changed and I’m still learning new skills every day.

Outside of work, I’ve got two lovely children and my weekends are very much taken up with swimming lessons and football matches. In between, we spend a lot of time together as a family, going for days out, to the cinema, or on walks.
