I specialise in all things luxury, especially jewellery and watches. Luxury recruitment, not just in the UK, but increasingly in Paris, New York and elsewhere internationally, accounts for the majority of my work.

I didn’t start out in luxury recruitment. I had shopfloor fashion retail experience before someone suggested that recruitment might suit me. My first role (pre-ZD) was growing a luxury desk, which was a little daunting. I had to Google luxury brands (Blancpain? Breguet?) to check I was pronouncing them correctly.

My fascination for the products led me to dig into the detail. I realised that when you know about a specific watch movement, for example, and can talk your clients’ language, they really value and appreciate it. I took the same approach as I expanded my knowledge from watches to jewellery and I’m now one of just a handful of UK recruiters that luxury brands know they can rely on.

Today I work with global brands and niche independents, helping them hire every luxury role, from shopfloor to watchmakers to goldsmiths. My clients appreciate the fact that I take the time to really understand their needs. There’s a trust there that means I can recommend exceptional candidates I believe they should see, even if they don’t fit every requirement of the job description.

I’m also a business manager, which means I support, coach and help develop others within ZD.
