Since I switched from retail management to recruitment in 2015, I’ve spent the majority of my career working in logistics and fulfilment recruitment UK-wide. Having worked in both agency and internal talent, I understand the importance of partnering with a trusted recruiter. At Zachary Daniels, I recruit for brands, retailers and third-party suppliers wanting to recruit logistics, supply chain and fulfilment leaders. I recruit key appointments and have the ability to manage volume hiring exercises for organisations who may be opening new DCs or wanting to bring dozens or even hundreds of logistics, warehouse, fulfilment or transport managers into the business. Recently, for example, I did this for one of the UK’s leading retailers who built a new facility in the UK, where the requirement spanned 12 months, hiring managers at all levels from supervisors, shift managers, senior operations managers and site leaders.

Recruitment is about building relationships, and a big part of that is treating candidates and clients with respect and transparency and being willing to have honest conversations. I don’t just ‘put bums on seats’ as that never works for candidates or clients. I spend time working with candidates and getting to know them. Having that type of relationship enables me to present them in the best possible way to clients.

With clients, I get to know their business and fully understand the role requirements not only from a skills perspective, but also the cultural fit. Because of that approach, people I have placed in the past have returned to me as clients, and clients I have previously worked with have continued to work with me. I think that says a lot about the way I work.
